Professional Football Player & Super Bowl Champion Cornell Powell Returns to Greenville for Annual Youth Football Camp at J.H. Rose
Greenville, NC — This summer, youth in Eastern North Carolina will once again have the opportunity to learn from one of their own when Cornell Powell, professional football player and Super Bowl champion, brings his highly anticipated Cornell Powell Football Camp back to J.H. Rose High School, the very field where his journey began.
The annual camp, founded and run by Powell through The Powell Project, is now in its fourth year and has become a memorable and staple experience for young athletes in the region. Open to boys and girls ages 6 to 14, the four-hour camp focuses on more than just athletic skills. It is designed to help the youth in attendance build confidence, develop character, and understand the value of discipline and leadership both on and off the field.
While the pre-registration deadline has passed, there’s still a great opportunity for community members, local businesses, and organizations to get involved.
For those interested in supporting this event, sponsors and supporters are still welcome. Whether interested in covering essential supplies such as water, snacks, training equipment, participant giveaways or even financially it is a great project to join. This is a meaningful way to invest in the future of local youth while supporting a mission rooted in community uplift and personal development.
Powell, who grew up in Greenville and rose through the ranks from high school standout to professional football player and Super Bowl champion, continues to be an inspiration for the youth in his hometown. His dedication to investing in the next generation, especially through this camp — speaks volumes about his leadership and connection to the community.
