Q&A with Kevin D. St.Clergy

“I didn’t leave because I had it all figured out—I left because I knew deep down I was meant for more.”

Q: Kevin, you’re known for helping people stop solving the wrong problem. What sparked this mission?
Kevin: Honestly, I got tired of building someone else’s dream. I was earning $250K a year, but my work was bringing in millions—for someone else. I couldn’t lead the way I wanted, serve people the way I knew they deserved, or create anything meaningful. Eventually, the discomfort of settling became greater than the fear of starting over. That’s when everything shifted. And no—it wasn’t perfect. But it was real, and it was mine.

“People don’t need more surface-level advice. They need someone who’s been through the fire and made sense of it.”

Q: How does your past shape the way you coach now?
Everything I teach comes from lived experience—failures, pivots, breakthroughs. I’ve built and sold businesses. I’ve messed up and rebuilt. I speak and coach from those stories, not theory. That’s why it resonates. People are tired of fluff. They want to feel seen, and they want tools that work in the real world.

“Home isn’t just where I live. It’s where I create. It’s peace, it’s fun, and it’s fully me.”

Q: Your home sounds like a dream space. What inspired it?
We call it “the compound”—10 acres of intentional living. There’s my main house with a wine cellar, my office for focused work, and the G’Raj Mahal, which is basically my man cave on steroids. It’s got indoor golf, a studio, a bar, a gym, even a little casino setup. We’ve held events here, walked on fire, trained, laughed, cried, drank great wine. It’s a hub for creation, connection, and community. I don’t believe you should separate life and work. I’ve built a space where both can thrive.

“It’s not about how fancy it is—it’s about how the space makes me feel: focused, inspired, free.”

Q: If you could dream up your ultimate creative space, what would it include?
A lot of what I dreamed of is already here. But if we’re going next level? I’d want even more clarity-focused space—natural light, high ceilings, camera-ready studio equipment, and minimal clutter. Creativity is non-negotiable, so space for writing, recording, coaching is a must. But it’s also about connection—I need a place to host, relax, recharge. Fire pit, long table, weights, and quiet corners. It’s all about alignment.

“Inspiration doesn’t always show up at a desk. For me, it shows up in freedom.”

Q: Where do you get your best ideas?
Right here at home. Sometimes it’s in the G’Raj Mahal with a glass of wine or a round of golf. Sometimes it’s walking the land with a notebook or sitting by the pool. These are the spaces that pull the best out of me. I’ve built my environment to support who I’m becoming, not just who I’ve been.

Q: You talk about alignment a lot—how does that show up in your choices?
Alignment is my filter. I use what I call the “10-10-10 rule.” How will I feel about this in 10 minutes, 10 months, and 10 years? I’ve stopped chasing balance and started chasing presence. If it costs me my peace, my values, or my relationships—it’s not worth it.

“Don’t look for perfect—look for alignment. If it gives you energy, you’re close.”

Q: Has a space ever changed the way you saw yourself?
Yes—years ago I visited a friend’s house that blew me away. It wasn’t the money; it was the vision. It was intentional. Creative. Alive. It made me realize how small I’d been thinking. That space shifted how I saw my own potential. It showed me what was possible when you design for purpose, not just comfort.

“Home doesn’t get the leftovers. I get to do what I love, and be present doing it.”

Q: Let’s talk legacy. What do you want people to remember you for?
That I helped them identify and fix the one issue keeping them stuck—whether that was internal or external. That I made them feel understood and gave them tools to break through. That they found freedom, alignment, and clarity—and passed that ripple effect into their family, work, and world.

“Central Texas keeps me grounded. Good food, great people, and nobody’s in a rush.”

Q: What made you choose to live where you are now?
Central Texas is where I slow down. It reminds me of what matters—family, legacy, barbecue, and big skies. It’s peaceful, and people are real here. Plus, I don’t do cold weather.

“Good food, deep conversation, and a little poker—what else do you need?”

Q: You’re hosting your dream dinner. Where is it and who’s there?
Right here at the G’Raj Mahal. I’d invite Jack Canfield, Tony Robbins, Dan Martell—mentors who’ve shaped how I lead. But I’d also invite family. I want them to see what’s possible when you dream big and live with purpose. It’d be real talk, great food, and legacy-level connection.
