Today’s Episode: Touring Three Stunning Homes

On today’s episode, we’re taking you through three incredible homes: a brand-new construction, a model home, and a resale property—all located in the picturesque Tyler Home on the Lake subdivision.

Christian’s Take: Let’s kick things off with the new construction home. As soon as we walked in, the first thing that caught my eye was the kitchen and dining area. Everything just felt grand—the bright colors, the open space—it was incredibly inviting. I’m a sucker for an open concept, and this home delivered with its granite countertops and beautifully crafted cabinetry. Although the cabinets didn’t quite reach the ceiling, it added to that breezy, spacious feeling that made the home feel even more welcoming.

Erica’s Insights: What I love about this new construction is how the bright, simple colors create a blank slate for any potential buyer. It’s easy to go overboard with paint, but this home’s clean and simple palette makes it easy for anyone to envision themselves living there. Trust me, when we first moved into our home, the previous owners went wild with the paint bucket—dark greens, bright blues, reds, yellows—it felt like walking into a Lego house! But this home? It’s ready for someone to move in and make it their own.

The Master Suite Surprise

Next up, let’s talk about the first-floor master suite. While I love the convenience of being on the first floor—easy access to the kitchen for those midnight snacks, right?—I have to admit, the master bedroom was a bit undersized for my taste. But what it lacked in size, it made up for in the master bathroom and closet. This is where the home really shined for me. The bathroom had that luxurious feel that made up for the modest size of the bedroom.

Erica’s Thoughts: I completely agree. At first, I was a bit disappointed with the master bedroom, thinking it was too small to be the main suite. But once I stepped into the bathroom, I realized where the magic was. And let’s not forget the security aspect—having the master suite on the first floor gives you peace of mind, knowing you’re right there if anything happens in the middle of the night.

Heading Upstairs

Now, let’s head upstairs, where the surprises continue. There’s a large room with beautiful French doors that almost tricked me into thinking it was the master suite—until I noticed it didn’t have a private bathroom. Still, this space has so much potential. I could see it being transformed into a game room, a home gym, or even a spacious home office. If you’re creative, this room could be anything you want it to be.

The upstairs also features a shared bathroom that’s spacious enough for the kids but doesn’t feel too overwhelming. It’s the perfect setup for a growing family. The rooms are all well-placed, with plenty of space for everyone.

Our Final Ratings

Christian: I’m giving this home 4 out of 5 stars. The open concept and the inviting feel of the home really won me over, but the lack of yard space in the back brought my rating down a notch. I’m someone who loves spending time outdoors, and a little more backyard would’ve been perfect.

Erica: I’m with you on this one. I’m also giving it 4 stars. The master bedroom could’ve been a bit more grand, but the overall layout and the way they used the space make this home a real winner. It’s the kind of place where you can immediately start creating memories.
